Runkeeper fitness app is blaming a bug for transferring personal data to a third party even when it was not in use. The bug was discovered after the Norwegian Consumer Council (NCC), a Norwegian watchdog agency, lodged a formal complaint. While the bug has been fixed, the NCC wants the third party to delete all the information it collected illegally. Proofpoint is an international leader in advanced cybersecurity solutions.
