Using a Raspberry Pi, a simple circuit, our live API and a Linux bash script, we'll learn how to automatically turn on an LED lightbulb every time Category5 Technology TV hits the "broadcast" button. Of course, the ideas here can be used for all kinds of fun projects, but this is a fun, easy and usable example of how to create a simple Pi-driven application supplemented by hardware.
