Having been given a dead network switch, Robbie set out to see if he (in his limited but budding capabilities) can both diagnose and repair the device. TL;DR: what would have cost $50 to replace only cost $3.20 to repair, and Robbie was successful in fixing the hardware by replacing two burnt-out capacitors. Follow along with the process and see what he has learned about desoldering, using flux paste, and soldering.

Samba Network Access to BitTorrent Seed Server
On Episode 597 Robbie and Sasha created a BitTorrent Seed Server using an ODROID-HC1 single board computer with a 1 TB SSD drive. It's been downloading for a few weeks now, so it's time to see how we can access the files from our computer. We'll learn how to install and configure Samba/CIFS to provide folder sharing on our network, giving us direct and read-only access to the very folder where our torrent downloads reside.
