bp9 fell into the youtube rabbit hole again, looking at Rube Goldberg marble music machines. Also shows off his Tandy WP-2, and revisits his client/server app, now using GnuTLS. Discussion turns towards Gnu, Wilderbeasts and the "I'm a Gnu" song. Peter is talking to New Zealand on his ham radio and describes a bomb scare! Solbu explains the advantages of running your own email server. Doug is glorious in sunshine and is playing with his new Raspberry Pi 3. bp9 is joined by Doug, Peter, and Solbu.

- Mentions a bomb scare close to him, there was a full turn out. Everyone is OK.
- Needs to get a pressure washer in to clean out his valve.
- Worked New Zealand on his ham radio, sunspots are starting to get more active.
- Describes a program that controls a rotator motor through all 360 degrees.

- Notes that all software that was running military installations fit on a standard floppy.
- The devices bp9 were showing off had more power than the computers in the Apollo spacecraft!

- The "G" in Gnu is supposed to be silent.
- Explains the advantages of running an email server: You has full control of access to email, no one can kick you out for any reason. A friend of his lost access to his GMAIL account because he said something bad, and lost access to everything!
- Uses POP to access his email, even though his email server is local.
- We discuss pros and cons of using POP, IMAP, or web-based email when away from the house and when at the house.
- Fountain pens vs. Ballpoint pens LOL

Doug
- Is very bright today LOL
- Got himself a Raspberry Pi 3 as an entertainment server.
- Is not running Plex because he doesn't have anything to play on it.
