Chip manufacturer Qualcomm has unveiled the Snapdragon XR1 AR Smart Viewer Reference Design, and it's a game changer. Delivering high-performance, immersive experiences with lower power consumption, the XR1 is significantly less bulky than similar products coming to market, looking more like a pair of sunglasses than a big VR head mount. The XR1 taps into the performance capabilities of a compatible device such as a smartphone or Windows PC, being tethered by a single USB-C cable and controlled by gestures.
