Let's continue to learn Linux Logical Volume Management with perhaps one of the most exciting features of LVM: Snapshots. We'll teach you what it does, how it does it, and how you can utilize LVM Snapshots for your own on-the-fly backups ala Hotcopy or Volume Shadow Copy.
Well, last week we learned how to deploy an LVM installation of Ubuntu Mate... and woh, now we're getting into the serious Linux geekiness! This week, we'll learn to resize the root Logical Volume to make room for a LVM Snapshot!
One thing I learned last week is that I really need to keep it simple... let's learn the advanced LVM stuff without getting over-the-top complicated. We keep it fun and lighthearted, and explain how LVM works for the average Linux user.
Jeff and I also had a great discussion following the news about the 2nd most popular password found in the recent (huge) data breach across 1,100 web sites, and our theories may actually make you go "Hmmmm."
I fired up the new Micro Drone 3.0 and even share a bit of FPV video footage, while Jeff shows us the new computer he bought through our Partner Links.
Enjoy the show, and thank you for supporting Category5 TV!
