Power2U v2 and Restoring rdiff-backup Files

Let's look at the enhanced new version of the Power2U receptacle, which adds 2x 2.4A USB outlets to a standard wall outlet. We'll also explore a few ways to restore files from the rdiff-backup we created on previous episodes.

Wow, I can't believe another week has gone by. Here we are, it's Episode 465! We're already finalizing the details for a 2-hour Season 10 launch (September 27).
Last week we talked about setting up a BitTorrent server, and that became a reality! Check out torrent.category5.tv for the previous seasons of Category5 Technology TV. We'll be adding our other shows as they grow too!
So this week, Larry O'Connor, CEO of NewerTech joined us to talk about the new version of their Power2U receptacle. Remember that from Episode 341? It's the wall outlet replacement that includes USB charging ports. It's been upgraded to 2.4A per port, and has a built-in surge protector. They've also made the internal components fit into a smaller space, so you might not need as large of a receptacle box for the new version!
After the news, Jeff and I also jumped back to the LVM series and look at how to restore files from our backups... both the most current, and from specific points in time.
