This week our theme is space. We'll unbox a beautiful alloy model of NCC-1701-D, and travel back in time to create a space scene using the free GNU Image Manipulation Program.
We paid rent on time! [woot woot] Thank you so much for your ongoing support! We really can't do what we do without the support of our Patrons/donors, and those buying products through our partner links.
One thing I really want to spend a bit of cash on is some diffusers for the lights above our heads. I'm shiny. So it's either diffusers or makeup... and I'd rather not go there--not that there's anything wrong with that! (and if you got the Seinfeld reference, you win!)
This week something arrived in the post that I've been waiting for since I was 18. An alloy model of the starship Enterprise... NCC-1701-D. While supplies last (and they won't last long) we have them in the store for about $15. Unreal!
Then, in keeping with our "space" theme for the show, we jumped back in time to 3333.... Episode 333, exactly 3 years ago! On that episode we used time dilation to jump forward to 2017 where we presented the 16th episode of our 20 Weeks of GIMP Tips series! In this episode we created a space scene from scratch using nothing but the free GNU Image Manipulation Program and a texture we found on Google.
Oh yeah, and Sasha couldn't handle the time flux. We've seen co-hosts break down on the show with uncontrollable laughter in the past, but I believe this is the first time one laughed so hard she actually cried.
Enjoy the show, and thank you again for supporting Category5!
