Ever wonder what accessing your web site is like for your users? This week we look at a tool that lets you do just that by recording their session while accessing your web site. It's like a focus group gone mad!
The best way to tell if your web site works well, or is frustrating as heck for your users, is to have a focus group. Right? Wrong.
Imagine sticking a video camera over the shoulder of everyone who visits your site so you can see what they do, how they navigate, and possibly what they find frustrating. THAT would be the ultimate way to gauge your end-user experience.
But it'd also be really, really creepy.
So FullStory bridged the gap with a tiny snippit of Javascript code that instead records the mouse movement, clicks, and navigation of your users within the site code itself. No sneaky stuff, and no privacy breached. Just a nice, easy and incredibly effective way to see what your end-users see.
Henry, Sasha and I also dig through a few more viewer comments, and have a little fun weighing toy drones in the Newsroom.
As I said in the show, thank you for your continued patronage. It has been a ridiculously expensive month, and we still have more expenses to cover. Your support makes a difference, and means the world.
Enjoy the show!
