But its low price tag and innovative nature lead to some very real caveats for some users. Let's see how our tech-savvy bald nerd reacts to what, with a little patience, could be an excellent little portable writing or coding tool.

Yes, there are some things we really don't like about the Pinebook, but we have to take it in the context of what it is. This is a very impressive piece of kit for $99. Consider it like a SBC in a thin and light laptop form factor, complete with a reasonable display. There are no moving parts, so there's no noise. There's no heat, and it's very thin and light-weight.
